Team Lead - Software Development
About the role
The Team Lead - Software Development role involves providing technical leadership and solutioning, overseeing planning and project delivery, mentoring and developing team members, conducting code reviews and quality assurance, solving technical problems, and collaborating with stakeholders. The position requires leading software engineering teams, converting business requirements into actionable technical solutions, and ensuring best practices in software development are followed. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in software development and leadership, with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills. The role is with KonnectNet Human Resource Services.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, including proven experience in a Team Lead, Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar technical leadership role.
- Proven experience in technical planning, solution design, system architecture, and software development.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, databases, APIs, Git, and contemporary software development tools.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, software architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and development best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in code review, technical review, debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving complex software issues.
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, guide, and develop software engineering teams.
- Strong ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions, development plans, and actionable tasks.
- Experience in estimating development effort, planning resources, managing priorities, and monitoring technical delivery.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and solution-oriented capabilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to take ownership of technical decisions and drive solutions from requirement analysis through design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for technology, process, and product improvements.
- Willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential application to the business.
