Intern - Graphic Designing
About the role
U.W. Sumathipala & Sons is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Graphic Design Intern to join their Sports Publications team. The role involves assisting in designing and preparing layouts for the daily sports paper, formatting sports fixtures and statistics, supporting the preparation of print-ready artwork, editing images and advertisements, and working closely with editorial and printing teams to meet publication deadlines. The position is ideal for students or freshers looking to gain hands-on experience in graphic designing, sports publications, and print media within a professional environment.
Must have
- Ability and willingness to work on a rotational shift schedule – two weeks of day shifts (8.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.) and two weeks of night shifts (5.00 p.m. – 1.30 a.m.) each month.
- Following or recently completed a Diploma, Degree, or professional qualification in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- A creative mindset with an interest in developing a career in Graphic Designing.
- Basic command of written and reading English.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced publication environment.

Highlights
