Intern - UI/UX Designer
About the role
Xeynergy, a software development and IT services company with operations in Sri Lanka and the USA, is seeking an Intern - UI/UX Designer. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create and refine UI/UX designs, developing user-centered designs through research, wireframing, and prototyping, and designing responsive web and mobile interfaces. Additional responsibilities include assisting in front-end development, participating in usability testing, supporting branding and digital marketing tasks, and maintaining website functionality and aesthetics. The internship offers hands-on experience in a collaborative and innovative environment, with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position based on performance and project needs.
Must have
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Web Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, TailwindCSS, WordPress Development
- Prototyping & Mockup Tools: Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq, XD - High-fidelity mockup/prototype design experience
- Graphic Design: Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- UX/UI Principles: Design Thinking, User Research, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Accessibility Standards (WCAG), Color Theory, Typography, Micro-interactions & Animations
- Digital Marketing: Basic knowledge of social media marketing and SEO
- Web Hosting & Email Management: Experience managing web hosting and mail services
- SEO & Analytics Tools: Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console
- Animation Tools: Basic knowledge of animation tools like Adobe After Effects or Lottie
- Collaboration & Project Management: Agile & Scrum Methodologies, Jira, Trello, or Asana
