Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
About the role
Bridge BSS is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join their team on a full-time, extendable contract basis. The role is remote within Sri Lanka and focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright and/or Selenium, with additional responsibilities in API automation, CI/CD integration, and mentoring junior engineers. The position requires strong hands-on skills in TypeScript and/or Java, experience with modern automation frameworks, and the ability to collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments. Must have
- 3–5 years of experience in QA with a strong focus on test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium.
- Strong working knowledge of TypeScript and/or Java.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining UI automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Page Object Model (POM) and modular automation frameworks.
- Experience with TestNG and/or Cucumber/BDD.
- Proven experience in API automation testing using REST Assured and/or Playwright.
- Practical experience with GitLab and/or GitHub.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web application architecture.
- Good understanding of software testing processes, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
