Automation Operations Manager
About the role
Homey is seeking an Automation Operations Manager in Colombo to drive the automation of UK residential property transaction processes. The role involves mapping operational workflows, designing and deploying automations using tools like n8n, APIs, webhooks, and LLM agents, and ensuring these automations are robust, measurable, and adopted by teams. The successful candidate will work closely with both UK and Sri Lankan teams, own the automation backlog, and help scale the function as Homey grows. The position offers a high-impact opportunity with top-tier compensation in the Sri Lankan market, office space and equipment, and the chance to work directly with leadership and founders.
Must have
- 5+ years in operations, process excellence, RPA/automation or solutions roles, including at least 2-3 years designing and shipping automations that real teams use in production
- Hands-on with workflow automation tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Automate or UiPath, and comfortable with APIs, JSON and webhooks
- Practical experience putting LLMs (for example OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini) into business workflows: prompting, structured outputs, and testing that the results are reliable
- Strong process mapping skills (swimlanes, BPMN or similar) and the ability to turn a messy real-world process into a clear, automatable workflow
- Can show results with numbers: hours saved, faster turnaround, fewer errors
- Can script in Python or JavaScript and query data with SQL
- Excellent written and spoken English, and experience working with stakeholders in the UK, Europe or US
Nice to have
- Experience in a regulated industry such as legal, financial services, insurance or property
- Background in BPO, shared services or large-scale operations
