Site Reliability Engineer
About the role
The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for providing both reactive and proactive support for technical issues, troubleshooting and identifying root causes based on SLAs for infrastructure issues. The role involves deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing cloud-based production systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure to ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security. Additional responsibilities include configuration management, ensuring 24/7 uptime, engaging with stakeholders during issue resolution, and maintaining test environments. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, experience or internship in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must have
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent qualification
- Fresh graduates with internship experience in DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering
- Experience with integrating, aiding support for and troubleshooting, and identifying the root cause of issues in dynamic environments, while working cross-functionally
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in Cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
- Strong self-motivation and flexibility and willingness to accept additional responsibilities as they develop
- The ability to work in a roster-based environment including night shifts and weekend shifts
- Experience in DevOps concepts, tools and automation capabilities
- The ability to program/automate with one or more languages, such as Python, Shell, Java, and AI tools
