Lead - Physical Security, Solutions Engineering
About the role
Dialog Enterprise Technology is seeking a Solutions Expert to lead the design, delivery, and optimization of advanced physical security solutions for enterprise clients. The role involves working across pre-sales, deployment, and ongoing support, acting as the primary expert for clients, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop tailored security solutions. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing solutions such as VSAAS, next-gen access control, and smart parking technologies, running discovery workshops, leading proofs of concept, integrating solutions with business applications, and maintaining documentation and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a BSc (Eng), 3-5 years of relevant experience, and hands-on expertise with a range of physical security technologies and integration methods.
Must have
- BSc (Eng) from a recognized university.
- 3-5 years delivering enterprise physical security solutions across video, access control, and parking technologies.
- Hands-on experience with: IP cameras, edge devices, ONVIF, RTSP, recording, storage sizing, and retention planning
- Hands-on experience with: Cloud and on-prem VMS or VSaaS platforms, video analytics, and health monitoring
- Hands-on experience with: Access control systems including controllers, readers, credentials, mobile access, and visitor management
- Hands-on experience with: Smart parking technologies such as ALPR, barriers, sensors, and tags
- Familiarity with integration patterns and automation using REST APIs, MQTT, and scripting in Python or PowerShell.
- Understanding of data protection, encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access, and audit logging.
- Ability to produce solution designs, diagrams, proposals, and clear operational documentation.
Nice to have
- Vendor or industry certifications are a plus such as PSP, CCNA, and product certifications in VMS or access control.
