IT Executive
About the role
The IT Executive at Colombo Swimming Club will be responsible for managing DNS, firewall maintenance, Wi-Fi networks, and structured cabling. The role includes providing technical support for hardware, software, network, and audio-visual issues, maintaining and monitoring computer systems, servers, and IT equipment, as well as installing, configuring, and troubleshooting operating systems and applications. Additional duties involve ensuring data security, backups, system updates, assisting in network administration and cybersecurity, coordinating with vendors, preparing IT documentation, and working on a shift basis. Candidates should have a relevant degree or diploma, 1-3 years of IT support or system administration experience, and strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. The club offers an attractive remuneration package based on qualifications and experience.
Must have
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems, networking, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to have
- Hands on experience in Word... and basic web editing would be an advantage.
