Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
About the role
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at PayMedia will be responsible for defining and implementing test strategies for complex features and systems within a fintech environment. The role involves reviewing requirements and technical designs, creating and optimizing test plans, balancing manual and automated testing, and performing various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory. The engineer will also design and maintain automated test frameworks, conduct API and performance testing, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality deliverables. Mentoring junior QA engineers and driving improvements in QA processes are also key aspects of the role. Candidates should have a relevant degree and at least 3 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in both manual and automated testing, automation frameworks, API testing, CI/CD pipelines, SQL, and Agile/DevOps practices.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
- Proven expertise in manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Strong knowledge of API testing and tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
