Software Support Engineer
About the role
The Software Support Engineer at Cilk Software Solutions (Pvt) Ltd will join an innovative team supporting global apparel brands with modern technology solutions for apparel product development and manufacturing systems. The role is full-time and involves providing support for targeted software platforms, with comprehensive training provided. Key responsibilities include assisting with system implementation, supporting users, and ensuring effective use of software in apparel development and manufacturing contexts. Must have
- A Degree/Higher Diploma in apparel product development/manufacturing and a Degree/Diploma in IT.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in apparel development/manufacturing, ideally in merchandising, customer costing or garment technology OR 1 to 2 years’ experience in related system support.
- Good understanding of apparel development process with exposure to apparel manufacturing.
- Sound skills in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge in other MS office software.
- Exposure to PDM/PLM systems and/or previous engagement in system implementation and training will be an advantage.
- Sound analytical skills and quick learner.
- Very good English and Sinhala language skills (must).
- Good problem-solving and customer servicing skills.
- Skills in scripting/programming and/or previous software support experience will be a definite advantage.
Nice to have
- Exposure to PDM / PLM systems.
- Experience in software implementation, user training, or system support.
- Knowledge of scripting or programming.
- Experience preparing user guides and supporting business users.
