URGENT HIRING | Business & Product Operations Manager
About the role
FONIX EDU (PVT) LTD is seeking a Business & Product Operations Manager to oversee daily business operations, coordinate software product development, manage cross-functional teams, and support business growth for their AI-powered EdTech platform, EduOne. The role involves managing business operations, software product and project management, sales and marketing initiatives, customer success, and team leadership. Candidates should have a strong understanding of software development processes, experience coordinating technical teams, and skills in business development and customer management. The position is full-time and based onsite in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, offering the opportunity to play a key management role in a fast-growing startup environment.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in business operations, software project management, product operations, or technology management.
- Good understanding of software development processes, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and software project delivery.
- Experience coordinating technical teams and managing multiple projects or operational activities.
- Understanding of business development, sales operations, marketing, and customer management.
- Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
- Willingness to work full-time onsite in Ratnapura.
Nice to have
- Experience working in a startup or fast-growing technology company.
- Experience with SaaS products, EdTech platforms, or Learning Management Systems.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, ClickUp, Trello, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
- Understanding of web/mobile application development, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
- Previous experience managing software developers and marketing teams.
- Experience in B2B sales, customer acquisition, and product growth.
