About the role
Arogya Life Systems is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join their team in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot, as well as developing RESTful APIs and integrating healthcare systems. The engineer will manage both SQL and NoSQL databases, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with various teams to deliver secure and reliable healthcare technology solutions. Candidates should have at least 2 years of backend development experience, strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, and a relevant degree. Experience with Docker, Linux, cloud platforms, CI/CD, or healthcare technology is considered an advantage.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on backend software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker, Linux, cloud platforms, or CI/CD will be an advantage.
- Experience in healthcare technology will be an added advantage.
