Senior Project Manager
About the role
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with project scope, budget, and timelines. The role involves managing all phases of project delivery, from initiation through completion, including risk management, resource planning, financial oversight, and stakeholder communication. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Legal, Finance, and technical partners, as well as mentoring junior project managers and contributing to continuous improvement of project management practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT services, particularly in cloud infrastructure projects, and hold relevant project management certifications.
Must have
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT services, including at least 5 years of experience managing customer-facing projects from initiation to completion
- Demonstrate proven experience in delivering cloud infrastructure, migration, or modernisation projects using AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Possess a proven track record of managing projects valued above USD 500,000 or complex multi-workstream programmes with Profit and Loss (P&L) accountability
- Hold a recognised professional project management certification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, or an equivalent qualification
Nice to have
- Cloud certifications at associate level or higher, such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or OCI Architect, will be considered an added advantage
- Agile or scaling certifications, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe, will be considered an added advantage
- Exposure to security and compliance programmes, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, or DevSecOps, will be considered an added advantage
- Experience delivering projects for customers in the MENA or European regions, including remote and on-site delivery models, will be considered an added advantage
- Familiarity with FinOps practices, Generative AI, or automation projects will be considered an added advantage
- Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Oracle PM Suite, Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms will be considered an added advantage
- An MBA or postgraduate qualification in Management will be considered an added advantage
