About the role
This role is for a Junior Executive or Executive in Core Banking Support within the IT Department at Alliance Finance Company PLC. The position involves providing first-line (L1) support for core banking and related applications, including monitoring, incident logging, troubleshooting, and resolution. Responsibilities include responding to user queries, escalating unresolved issues, supporting application deployments, monitoring system health, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with information security policies. The role offers exposure to core banking operations and opportunities for career growth in IT support and application management.
Must have
- Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1 to 2 years of experience in application support or IT operations, preferably in banking or finance.
- Working knowledge of linux operating systems and systems architecture
- Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data checks and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to learn new concepts and technologies related to banking and Finance
- Calm and reliable under pressure.
- Disciplined, process oriented, and comfortable following controlled procedures.
- Good team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Willing to work in shifts and outside normal hours when required.
