About the role

This is a full-time remote Web Developer position focused on WordPress development and modern web technologies. The role involves developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites, including custom themes, plugins, and integrations, as well as building responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. The developer will also work with REST APIs, optimize website performance and security, and leverage Generative AI tools for coding and documentation. The position offers the opportunity to work directly with international clients on content-driven and marketing platforms, contributing to engaging and high-performing web experiences.

Must have

2–4+ years of relevant commercial experience in web development.
Strong hands-on experience with WordPress, including custom themes, plugins, and integrations.
Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Experience working with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
Understanding of website performance optimisation, technical SEO, accessibility, and responsive design.
Familiarity with Git and modern deployment workflows.
Good understanding of web security and common WordPress security practices.
Practical experience using Generative AI tools for coding, content implementation, debugging, testing, and technical documentation.
Ability to review AI-generated code and identify potential security, performance, and maintainability issues.
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

Experience with React, Next.js, or another modern frontend framework is an advantage.
Experience with WooCommerce or other CMS and e-commerce platforms is an advantage.
