Forward Deployed Engineer
About the role
ChampSoft is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to join their team, focusing on deploying, integrating, and supporting enterprise healthcare technology solutions. The role is hands-on and customer-facing, involving full-stack development, cloud deployment, integration, troubleshooting, and technical delivery. Key responsibilities include leading technical onboarding for customers, configuring environments, supporting RBAC configurations, troubleshooting application and integration issues, supporting healthcare integrations, implementing frontend and backend changes, and creating technical documentation. The position requires strong experience with Python, Django, Django REST Framework, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS services, REST APIs, and customer communication. Preferred experience includes healthcare technology, FHIR, HL7, Docker, HIPAA practices, and supporting enterprise deployments. Must have
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solution engineering, implementation engineering, or similar roles.
- Strong experience with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
- Strong React and TypeScript experience.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, SES, and Secrets Manager.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JWT, OAuth, SAML/SSO, and API troubleshooting.
- Experience working with Git and CI/CD environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer communication skills.
- Comfortable working directly with customer technical and business teams.

- FHIR R4 / SMART on FHIR / Epic integrations.
- HL7, clinical data, genomics, or healthcare data integrations.
