SENIOR DEVSECOPS ENGINEER
About the role
The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and reliable delivery platforms within the Information Technology – Central Applications business unit in Sri Lanka. The role involves designing reusable CI/CD pipelines, embedding security practices throughout the software development lifecycle, managing Azure cloud platforms, and establishing observability and reliability standards. The position requires strong expertise in Azure, Azure DevOps, Terraform, CI/CD automation, and cloud security, as well as the ability to mentor engineers and collaborate with multiple teams. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Must have
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps, repositories, build/release pipelines, and approvals.
- Hands-on expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including App Service, VMs, containers, Azure Policy, Monitor, and Application Insights.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identities, Service Principals, and Azure Key Vault.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, RBAC, and network policies.
- Experience with security scanning, automated quality gates, and software supply-chain security.
- Strong Git, PowerShell/Bash scripting, YAML, and Linux/Windows administration skills.
- Good understanding of monitoring, alerting, SLOs/SLIs, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Azure, Azure DevOps, Terraform, or Kubernetes certifications are an advantage.
