Mobile App Developer Intern
About the role
VisionRoot (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a motivated Mobile App Developer Intern to join their team. This internship is ideal for students or early-career developers interested in gaining hands-on experience in building modern mobile applications for Android and iOS. The intern will work closely with experienced professionals including software engineers, UI/UX designers, AI engineers, business analysts, and project managers to design, develop, test, and improve mobile applications. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining mobile apps, building user interfaces, integrating REST APIs, working with authentication and notifications, and collaborating on various stages of the development lifecycle. The role offers practical exposure to technologies such as Flutter, React Native, Dart, JavaScript, and TypeScript, as well as opportunities to contribute to both internal and client projects.
Must have
- Currently pursuing a degree or higher education in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of programming and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Dart, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, or C#.
- Basic understanding of mobile application development concepts.
- Familiarity with Flutter, React Native, Android, iOS, or another mobile development framework.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods.
- Basic understanding of mobile UI development and responsive layouts.
- Basic understanding of databases and data handling.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies.
- Genuine interest in mobile application development.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart.
- Hands-on experience with React Native and Expo.
- Familiarity with native Android development using Kotlin or Java.
- Familiarity with native iOS development using Swift or SwiftUI.
- Experience integrating REST APIs into mobile applications.
- Familiarity with state management solutions such as Provider, Riverpod, Bloc, Redux, Zustand, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Firebase, including Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, or Analytics.
- Familiarity with Supabase or other backend-as-a-service platforms.
- Experience with mobile application authentication and secure token/session handling.
- Familiarity with local storage and databases such as SQLite.
- Experience with push notifications and deep linking.
- Familiarity with mobile application testing and debugging.
- Experience using Android Studio, Xcode, VS Code, or similar development tools.
- Familiarity with Google Play Console or Apple App Store Connect.
- Basic understanding of mobile application deployment and release processes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD for mobile applications.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Fastlane, or similar mobile deployment tools.
- Familiarity with UI/UX design tools such as Figma.
- Experience integrating AI APIs, chatbots, or AI-powered features into mobile applications.
- Familiarity with Docker, cloud services, or backend technologies is an advantage.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Personal, university, or open-source mobile application projects are an advantage.
- A portfolio or published mobile application demonstrating your development skills is an advantage.
