IT Executive
About the role
The IT Executive (Virtualization & Cloud Infrastructure) at Cargills Bank will join the IT Infrastructure team to administer, optimize, and support the enterprise virtualization environment. Responsibilities include managing VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and enterprise virtualization infrastructure, configuring Site Recovery Manager and Disaster Recovery environments, performing upgrades and troubleshooting, and maintaining technical documentation. The role requires a degree or diploma in IT, hands-on experience with VMware environments, and strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. The position is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and candidates are encouraged to apply by sending their CV to the provided email address.
Must have
- Degree / Diploma or equivalent qualification in IT from a recognized institute
- Experience with vSAN and SRM/DR and Linux/Windows server environments
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Nice to have
- 2-3 years of experience in Banking or financial institutions would be an added advantage
- Knowledge of Nutanix / HCI platforms will be an advantage
- Experience in administration of enterprise servers, storage and SAN environments
- VMware certifications such as VCP-DCV are highly desirable
