Storage & Backup Administrator
About the role
Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Storage & Backup Administrator to join their Infrastructure team. The role involves administering and monitoring storage platforms such as SAN, NAS, and storage arrays, managing backup and data recovery solutions, and ensuring the execution and monitoring of backup processes. The administrator will also participate in disaster recovery strategies, resolve incidents related to storage and data protection, support infrastructure projects, and collaborate with other technical teams. The position requires experience with storage and backup solutions, knowledge of SAN/NAS infrastructures, enterprise backup tools, Windows or Linux systems, basic virtualization, troubleshooting, and technical English proficiency. Must have
- Experience administering storage and backup solutions.
- Knowledge of SAN and NAS infrastructures.
- Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, or similar.
- Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux systems.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V).
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Technical English proficiency.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
- Certifications in Storage or Backup.
- Knowledge of PowerShell or automation.
- Experience in hybrid and data center environments.
