IT Executive
About the role
The IT Executive will be responsible for maintaining and updating server and network inventory, performing basic hardware maintenance and repairs, managing IT equipment procurement, and coordinating with vendors. The role includes ensuring servers are secured using standard cybersecurity tools, handling license renewals and purchases, and providing basic Level 1 technical support. Candidates must have a diploma in IT, hardware, or networking, at least one year of experience managing computer networks, switches, and firewalls, and basic knowledge of Windows Server and network architecture. The position is focused on technical support for L1 and L2 operations and does not require software development or programming skills. The role is based at Peliyagoda and Battaramulla offices for Colonial Motors (Ceylon) Ltd, an authorized Mazda importer and distributor.
Must have
- Diploma in IT / Hardware / Networking (or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in managing computer networks, switches, and firewalls.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server and network architecture.
- This is a technical support role focused on L1 and L2 operations. Software development or programming skills are not required for this position.
- Able to work in Peliyagoda and Battaramulla Offices.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Adobe design tools will be an added advantage.
