Platform & Integration Engineer (AUS Calendar - AUS Shift)
About the role
The Platform & Integration Engineer will design, build, and maintain system integrations using APIs, webhooks, and integration platforms, primarily working with Azure and iPaaS solutions such as Workato. Responsibilities include managing automations, developing cloud infrastructure, writing scripts for integration, applying CI/CD practices, and supporting API management and security. The role requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong programming skills, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative, international environment. The position operates on the Australian calendar and shift, and offers opportunities for career growth within H Connect International, a global BPM and outsourcing company.
Must have
- Relevant academic and/or professional qualifications in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in platform engineering, system integration, API development, integration platform management, or a similar role.
- Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform, with the ability to operate and troubleshoot cloud-hosted services.
- Hands-on experience with Workato or a comparable integration/iPaaS platform such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Azure Logic Apps, with Workato experience considered an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and common integration patterns, with practical experience using version control tools such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C# to build and extend integration solutions.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted tools and the ability to apply them to support development, troubleshooting, and problem-solving activities.
- Experience contributing to solution architecture, technical design, or integration platform initiatives.
- Exposure to API management, monitoring, observability, security, or identity management will be an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, a self-starter mindset, and the ability to work independently with a strong focus on delivery.
