About the role
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-vendor technology projects within a banking environment. This includes overseeing all project phases from initiation through production go-live, stabilization, and handover to support. The role involves managing project plans, budgets, dependencies, and stakeholder communications, as well as ensuring compliance with banking regulations and governance requirements. The Senior Project Manager will also mentor junior project staff and contribute to PMO best practices.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of IT delivery experience, including 4+ years managing projects end-to-end
- Proven experience delivering at least two large or complex technology projects through production go-live
- PMP, CSM, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent certification
- Strong experience managing multi-vendor technology projects and third-party contracts
- Hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, regression, performance, and security testing
- Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile/hybrid delivery methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, governance, and leadership skills
Nice to have
- Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry
- Experience with core banking, digital channels, integration, or infrastructure projects
- Experience working in a client-facing IT services or consulting environment
- Experience with platforms such as Finacle, Oracle, or similar enterprise technologies
