Network Engineer
About the role
The Network Engineer position at H Connect involves designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining various network systems including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure. The role also includes monitoring network performance and security, troubleshooting connectivity and infrastructure issues, and supporting network migrations, upgrades, and compliance. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or professional qualification in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field, with 3–5 years of enterprise network engineering experience. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, network security, SD-WAN, and experience with Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Meraki is essential. The position is based in Colombo at H Connect (Pvt) Ltd, Hirdaramani The Hub.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree/professional qualification in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field
- 3–5 years of enterprise network engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, network security, SD-WAN
- Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Meraki are essential
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
