Infrastructure Engineer Cloud Engineer - AWS
About the role
The Infrastructure Engineer role involves designing, implementing, and supporting core IT infrastructure for a well-established IT organization. Responsibilities include managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure (notably AWS), supporting users and systems, and ensuring operational resilience. The position covers server and network management, backup and disaster recovery, security, identity and access management, and collaboration platforms. Candidates should have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused mindset, and experience with technologies such as AWS, Hyper-V, Veeam, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Defender, SonicWall, and Unifi. A bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant IT experience are required.
Must have
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with effective communication.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or infrastructure/cloud operations.
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux systems, Active Directory, Office 365, AWS Infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of networking, cloud services, and ITSM tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), AWS, Azure, or ITIL are preferred. Preferred AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional), AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
