About the role

The Systems Engineer role at TeamDirectFN involves managing and maintaining server infrastructure with a focus on both Linux and Windows Server environments. The position requires hands-on experience in server administration, including Active Directory, virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, and cloud services like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and AWS. Key responsibilities include security patch management, system hardening, backup solutions, disaster recovery, and automation of system management tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent client communication abilities, and flexibility for after-hours support and client site visits. Relevant certifications are preferred.

Must have

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in system engineer with focus on server management and maintenance
Strong expertise in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration, including Active Directory management
Proficient in VMware ESXi administration and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS & KVM management and deployment
Experience with security patch management, system hardening, backup solutions, and disaster recovery procedures
Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python), monitoring tools, and automation frameworks for system management
Excellent troubleshooting abilities with strong client communication skills and flexibility for after-hours support and client site visits

Nice to have

Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Linux certifications (RHCSA/RHCE),VMware VCP, or Oracle Cloud certifications preferred
