IFS Developer
About the role
The IFS Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and customizing IFS Applications modules to meet business requirements for a leading building materials and architectural consultancy firm in Kuwait. The role includes analyzing user needs, configuring and extending IFS functionalities, creating and maintaining integrations and APIs, developing reports and workflows, troubleshooting application issues, and collaborating with business analysts and technical teams. The developer will also document solutions, ensure security and compliance, and provide end-user support and training. This is a full-time remote position requiring strong technical and communication skills, as well as experience with ERP systems and software development lifecycle practices.
Must have
- Strong IFS Applications development skills, including customization, configuration, and extension of core modules (e.g., finance, supply chain, manufacturing, projects).
- Proficiency in relevant programming and scripting languages (such as PL/SQL, SQL, IFS-specific tools, and basic object-oriented concepts) for building and maintaining IFS components.
- Experience with database and integration technologies, including relational databases, APIs, web services, and data migration or ETL processes.
- Solid understanding of ERP concepts, business process analysis, and translating functional requirements into technical solutions within IFS.
- Background in software development lifecycle practices, including requirements gathering, technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional, remote, and multicultural teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience as an IFS Developer or ERP technical consultant; exposure to global or multi-site implementations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with version control, ticketing systems, and agile or hybrid project methodologies.
