Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
About the role
Raketman, a Belgium-owned technology company with operations in Sri Lanka, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts across web and mobile applications. The role involves driving end-to-end QA processes, building and maintaining automated test suites, conducting manual and exploratory testing, optimizing performance, performing security testing, validating APIs and microservices, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and testing Power BI reports. The position also includes mentoring junior QA engineers and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. Candidates should have at least 5 years of QA experience, strong automation and testing tool skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Must have
- 5+ years of QA experience, including leading automation, performance, and security testing
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, and Java for test automation
- Experience with at least one performance tool (JMeter/Gatling) and one security testing tool (OWASP ZAP/Burp Suite)
- Experience with API testing, Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Git)
- Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with European clients and stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and team collaboration skills
Nice to have
- ISO certification experience
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and mobile testing (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest)
- ISTQB or Microsoft certifications
- Responsible for testing Power BI reports, including data validation from both the backend and frontend (Power BI reports), functionality checks, and ensuring accuracy, consistency and optimal performance across all reporting elements.
