AS 400 Engineer
About the role
The AS400 Engineer role involves supporting and maintaining critical customer IT environments, specifically focusing on Power Systems, AS/400, and IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities include providing technical support, handling customer service requests, performing on-site hardware troubleshooting and repairs, supporting Power Systems and storage, installing and upgrading hardware and software, performing preventive maintenance, working closely with customers and technical teams, supporting new system implementations, ensuring contractual requirements are met, managing inventory, and collaborating with the Technical Support Services Team. Candidates should have a relevant technical degree and at least one year of experience in AS400, Power Systems, or a similar IT environment.
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- 1+ year of experience in AS400, Power Systems, or a similar IT environment
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with customers and technical teams
- Willingness to provide on-site technical support when required
