Cloud Engineer
About the role
Cloud Solutions Lanka, a Microsoft Solutions Partner and part of the Finetech Group, is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to join their growing Microsoft team. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing Azure services, migrating customer workloads to Azure, setting up and managing Azure storage, applying security best practices, deploying Microsoft security tools, monitoring performance and costs, automating tasks, and collaborating with sales and presales teams. The engineer will also explore Azure AI services and contribute to technical documentation and support guides. The position offers opportunities to work on diverse Azure projects, access to paid Microsoft certifications, and career growth within a supportive team environment.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Good knowledge of storage technologies: Azure Storage, backup, replication, and data protection
- Basic understanding of networking: virtual networks, DNS, VPN, and firewalls
- Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux
- A real interest in learning new technologies, especially AI
- A team player who communicates clearly with colleagues and customers
- Flexibility to support after-hours deployments, migrations, and urgent issues when needed
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, Intune, or Purview data loss prevention
- Microsoft certifications such as:
- AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate
- SC-500: Cloud and AI Security Engineer Associate (replaced AZ-500)
- SC-300: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
- AI-900 / AZ-900: Fundamentals certifications
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 administration or hybrid identity
