About the role
Superloop is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their Data and Analytics team, responsible for managing the central data repository and supporting the company's data-driven operations. The role involves maintaining the data warehouse, data modeling, managing ETL processes, integrating new data sources, and ensuring data quality and governance. The Data Engineer will collaborate with analysts and system developers, build and maintain data pipelines, perform data profiling and transformation, and optimize data warehouse performance. The ideal candidate will have a background in software engineering or a related field, strong SQL and Python skills, and experience with data warehousing, data lakehouse technologies, and large data volumes. Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or as a Software Engineer, with a strong focus on data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in data warehousing and data processing.
- Strong SQL skills for data querying, manipulation, and optimization.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation of data processes.
- Experience working with Data Lakehouse technologies and platforms.
- Experience working with large volumes of data and complex data models.
- Knowledge of data integration techniques and tools.
- Proficiency in data orchestration concepts and tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with telecom industry preferred.
- Experience with Databricks/Apache Spark will be an added advantage.
