Associate Software Engineer : C++ and JavaScript
About the role
This role is for an Associate Software Engineer working with C++ and JavaScript, focused on supporting Typefi's publishing automation solutions for Adobe InDesign. The position is ideal for recent graduates and involves an even split between developing C++ InDesign plug-ins and scripting in ExtendScript and UXP for InDesign, across both Windows and macOS platforms. Key responsibilities include fixing bugs, building features, reproducing and resolving customer-reported issues, writing and fixing scripts, building and testing installers, and maintaining developer tools. The ideal candidate will have a degree in software engineering or computer science, solid knowledge of C++ and JavaScript, and be comfortable working on both Windows and macOS.
Must have
- A degree in software engineering or computer science.
- Good C++ knowledge.
- Good JavaScript knowledge, and an interest in learning InDesign scripting with ExtendScript and UXP.
- Comfortable developing on both Windows and macOS.
- Curiosity about how things work, and the patience to debug a problem to its cause.
- Good communication skills and a positive, eager-to-learn attitude.
