Senior Technical Lead
About the role
The Senior Technical Lead role is responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade technology solutions within the Banking and Financial Services sector. This hands-on leadership position involves leading and mentoring software engineering teams, defining solution architectures, establishing technical standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. The role also includes overseeing code reviews, managing system integrations, and ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and quality standards in regulated environments. Candidates should have significant experience in software development, technical leadership, and banking technology platforms.
Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 9 years of overall experience in software development and technology delivery.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Technical Lead or in an equivalent technical leadership role.
- Proven experience in large-scale core banking or business banking migrations and support-oriented engagements.
- Strong understanding of banking systems, financial technology platforms, payment systems, digital banking solutions, or core banking integrations.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications in highly regulated environments.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java development and technical leadership.
- Expertise in software architecture, system integration, API development, and enterprise application design.
- Experience leading and mentoring development teams.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern software development practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and containerized architectures.
- Relevant industry or technical certifications.
