Freelance - Odoo Consultants
About the role
Zeilan Consultancy Services is seeking a Freelance Odoo Consultant for a hybrid role based in the Western Province, Sri Lanka, with some flexibility for remote work. The consultant will analyze client business requirements, configure and customize Odoo modules, and support the full implementation lifecycle. Responsibilities include requirements gathering, workflow mapping, system testing, user training, documentation, troubleshooting, and recommending improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong Odoo knowledge, experience in business process analysis, and effective communication skills. Prior consulting or implementation experience in ERP or business applications is required, and a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is expected.
Must have
- Strong knowledge of Odoo (functional and/or technical), including configuration, customization, and module integration.
- Experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and workflow design for ERP or similar systems.
- Ability to perform functional testing, troubleshoot issues, and provide clear, structured documentation and reports.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including running client meetings and delivering user training.
- Comfort working in a hybrid setting, managing time independently, and coordinating with remote and onsite teams.
- Prior consulting or implementation experience in ERP, CRM, or business applications; Odoo certifications are an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with basic programming or scripting (Python, XML, SQL) is beneficial for collaboration with technical developers.
- Understanding of core business domains such as finance, inventory, sales, HR, or manufacturing is an added benefit.
