Accounts Associate
About the role
The Accounts Associate will support finance and accounting operations in Sri Lanka, assisting with daily accounting activities such as recording invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries. The role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, performing reconciliations, maintaining financial records, preparing monthly reports, tracking outstanding balances, and supporting audit and statutory documentation. The ideal candidate should have basic accounting experience, a relevant degree or diploma, and a willingness to learn and grow within a professional finance team.
Must have
- 6 months–1 year of relevant accounting/finance experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Basic to intermediate MS Excel skills.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
Nice to have
- Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle, or other accounting software is an advantage.
