About the role

The Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) is hiring a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer to join their technology team. The role involves full-stack development, cloud technologies, and scalable application solutions. Responsibilities include developing web applications with React.js and Next.js, backend services with Java and Spring Boot, designing microservices and RESTful APIs, working with Apache Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS, Git/GitHub, and participating in Agile/Scrum practices. Candidates should have a BSc in Computer Science or related field and at least 4 years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in relevant technologies.

Must have

BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
Minimum 4+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience in React.js & Next.js, Java & Spring Boot, Microservices & RESTful APIs, Apache Kafka Event-Driven Architecture, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud, Git/GitHub.
Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
Experience in unit and integration testing.
Good understanding of JWT/OAuth 2.0, authentication, authorization, and RBAC.
Knowledge of secure coding principles and OWASP practices.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Nice to have

Experience in EdTech, Higher Education, or University environments.
Experience with Student Management Systems, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Academic Management Systems, or University ERP solutions.
Understanding of academic or education technology platforms.
