Lead Machine Learning Engineer
About the role
The Senior Lead Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and deploying machine learning models for enterprise use cases. The role involves architecting and maintaining scalable ML/Gen AI pipelines, developing containerized ML artifacts, implementing advanced MLOps/AIOps practices, and establishing robust deployment architectures. The engineer will also lead and mentor ML engineering teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement and technology adoption. Candidates should have a strong background in programming, cloud-native architectures, and ML system design, with proven experience in deploying enterprise-scale ML/AI solutions.
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Statistics, Software Engineering, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 5 years of relevant industry experience in Machine Learning Engineering, Data Engineering, MLOps, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale ML/AI solutions.
- Strong programming expertise in Python, Java/Spring Boot, JavaScript/Node.js, and related frameworks.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong understanding of Data Science, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and ML System Design.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, model serving, monitoring, and automation.
- Strong understanding of MLOps/AIOps principles and ML model lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
- Professional DevOps certifications will be an added advantage.
- Cloud Solution Architect certification will be preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in the telecommunications industry will be an added advantage.
