About the role
The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for driving infrastructure automation and AI initiatives within the IT Department of a leading organization in the higher education sector. The role involves identifying manual IT processes and implementing automation and AI solutions, designing and maintaining automated workflows, and administering servers, networks, and both cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The position also includes monitoring system health, responding to incidents, managing identity and access controls, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and significant experience in IT infrastructure, automation, and leadership roles.
Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from a recognized university/institution.
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience or 6 years of overall relevant experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an Assistant Manager, Supervisory, or Lead role.
- Hands-on experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Power Automate, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of networking, cloud/hybrid infrastructure, and identity & access management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced IT environment.
