Senior Lead Data Engineer
About the role
This Senior Lead Data Engineer – Platform Engineering role is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategy, design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of an enterprise data ecosystem. The role involves leading the development of scalable and secure data platforms, enabling advanced analytics, machine learning, and data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will manage a high-performing engineering team, drive platform engineering initiatives, and ensure best practices in data governance, quality, and compliance. The position is with one of Talent Studio’s key clients and offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud and big data technologies.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7–10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Big Data, Platform Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading technical teams and successfully delivering large-scale data initiatives.
- Strong expertise in enterprise data platforms, cloud technologies, ETL/ELT frameworks, data lakes, data warehousing, and big data ecosystems.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Candidates must possess at least one of the following certifications or programs: IBM Data Engineering Professional Certificate, IBM Data Warehouse Engineer Professional Certificate, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer preparation program or Data Engineering on Google Cloud pathway, Microsoft Azure Data Engineering program aligned with DP-203.

- A master’s degree or relevant professional certifications would be an added advantage.
