About the role
The Security Architect role involves designing, developing, and implementing robust security solutions to protect the organization's IT infrastructure, applications, networks, and sensitive data. Key responsibilities include developing enterprise-wide security architectures, assessing IT systems for risks, establishing security standards, and supporting incident response and disaster recovery. The position requires more than 10 years of relevant experience, CISSP and CISM certifications, and strong knowledge of security frameworks and methodologies. The role is based in Colombo and offers opportunities for professional development and exposure to modern security technologies.
Must have
- A degree or professional qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Completed CISSP and CISM certifications.
- More than 10 years of relevant working experience in security architecture and related IT domains.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, information security, or security architecture.
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, encryption, identity and access management, and endpoint security.
- Experience with cloud security, security frameworks, risk management, and security architecture principles.
- Understanding of security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls.
- Knowledge of threat modelling, vulnerability management, and security assessment methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or SABSA will be added advantage.
