Data Engineer
About the role
The Data Engineer at Assetline Finance will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes, assembling large and complex data sets, and maintaining a segregated data warehouse using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies. The role involves building and maintaining data integrations, dashboards, analytical tools, and management reports to support business intelligence and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience, a related degree, and practical experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and integration. The position is part of a dynamic team within the flagship financial services arm of the David Pieris Group of Companies.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data engineering, ETL development, Advanced SQL, database management, and data integration.
- Practical experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL/ELT processes and handling large, complex datasets to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and modern data platform technologies, preferably Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Python programming, and analytical tools (Power BI).
- Experience in integrating data from multiple systems, working with APIs, and developing dashboards, management reports, and analytical solutions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with an understanding of data accuracy, integrity, security, performance optimization, and scalable data infrastructure.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical data solutions.
