Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer
About the role
The Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) is hiring a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer to join their technology team. The role involves full-stack development, cloud technologies, and scalable application solutions. Responsibilities include developing responsive web applications, backend services, microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven solutions, and optimizing databases. Candidates should have a degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 4 years of professional development experience, with strong hands-on skills in relevant technologies. The position requires teamwork, communication, and a proactive attitude.
Must have
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in React.js & Next.js, Java & Spring Boot, Microservices & RESTful APIs, Apache Kafka Event-Driven Architecture, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud, Git/GitHub.
- Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
- Experience in unit and integration testing.
- Good understanding of JWT/OAuth 2.0, authentication, authorization, and RBAC.
- Knowledge of secure coding principles and OWASP practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Positive, proactive, and results-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in EdTech, Higher Education, or University environments.
- Experience with Student Management Systems, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Academic Management Systems, or University ERP solutions.
- Understanding of academic or education technology platforms.
