Senior Network Security Engineer
About the role
The Senior Network Security Engineer role is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network and security incidents, as well as configuring and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure. The position involves supporting routers, switches, firewalls, wireless solutions, and cloud environments, performing system upgrades and security patching, and managing network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and authentication systems. The engineer will also support SD-WAN deployments, use monitoring tools, collaborate with teams and customers, and maintain documentation. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network and security engineering, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience with enterprise network environments. Preferred certifications include CCNA/CCNP, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and cloud certifications. The position is based in Moratuwa, operates on a hybrid working model, and follows standard weekday working hours. Must have
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Network & Security Engineering.
- Strong experience with Network Routing & Switching (Cisco and/or Juniper)
- Hands-on experience with Security Technologies including: Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, VPN Technologies, Network Access Control (NAC)
- Experience in one or more of: SD-WAN (Fortinet, VMware VeloCloud, Juniper), Wireless Networking Solutions, Load Balancing Technologies (F5, NetScaler)
- Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting Tools: SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios, NetFlow, PRTG (advantageous)
- Cloud Networking Knowledge: Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience supporting enterprise network environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
- Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
