About the role
The Assistant Manager / Executive (IT) - Application Developments role at Cargills Bank involves engaging with business leaders and product owners to gather requirements, creating technical diagrams for system architecture, and participating in sprint planning and code reviews. The position requires providing technical support to users and ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards. Candidates should have a degree in IT or a related field, 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, and technical expertise in either .NET/WSO2 or Java/Spring Boot/Hibernate, along with strong skills in system architecture, API development, and RDBMS platforms. The role is situated in Colombo and is suitable for those with strong analytical and communication skills.
Must have
- A degree or equivalent professional qualification in IT, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the Banking or Financial sector
- Technical expertise in one of the following languages: Expert-level proficiency in .NET, and WSO2 Enterprise Integrator, with strong hands-on experience in .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET Core enterprise applications OR Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA for developing scalable enterprise applications
- Proven expertise in system architecture and Web API development (REST & SOAP), supported by strong knowledge of RDBMS platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL
- Technically proficient, governance-oriented, and familiar with Risk, Audit, and Compliance functions
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills
