About the role
P W Holdings is seeking a System Consultant Intern (Finance) to join their team in Colombo, working in a hybrid capacity with some work-from-home flexibility. The intern will support the consultancy team in implementing, configuring, and maintaining Zoho Books for clients, focusing on improving financial management processes. Responsibilities include setting up accounting workflows, managing financial data, configuring system features, troubleshooting, user support, data migration and analysis using Microsoft Excel, preparing reports, testing configurations, documenting processes, and collaborating with finance and technical teams. The role offers practical experience in financial system implementation and business consulting within a technology-driven company specializing in Zoho-based solutions.
Must have
- Degree or undergraduate qualification in Accountancy, Finance, Financial Management, or a related field.
- Practical knowledge of Zoho Books or familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and basic financial modelling.
- Good understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-handling skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial information.
- Ability to learn new software tools quickly and apply technical guidance.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively with finance and technical teams in a hybrid environment.
