Network & Security Team Lead
About the role
The Network & Security Team Lead will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Network & Security Engineers, managing team workload, and ensuring service delivery meets SLA and KPI targets. The role involves providing technical leadership, supporting and optimizing enterprise network environments, and acting as an escalation point for complex issues. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in network and security engineering, team leadership, and a strong understanding of ITIL service management principles. The position is based in Moratuwa, operates on a hybrid working model, and is within the IT industry. Must have
- 5+ years of experience in Network & Security Engineering.
- 2+ years in a Team Lead, Senior Engineer, or Technical Lead capacity.
- Experience working within Managed Services, NOC, SOC, or enterprise support environments.
- Strong understanding of ITIL service management principles.
- Strong experience with enterprise networking technologies including: Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs), Firewalls and Security Policies, SD-WAN Technologies, Wireless Networking, Network Monitoring Tools.
- Experience with one or more of: Juniper Networks, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Aruba.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
- Knowledge of network monitoring and management platforms.

- Relevant network or security certifications will be highly advantageous.
